welcome from the Headteacher Claire Smethurst
Welcome to our school website, which I hope you will find both enjoyable and informative. Over the summer term, the site will continue to grow and evolve, so keep an eye out for new pages, fresh content and even more links to the activities and events taking place across our school.
As we move through this term, there is a real sense of excitement in the air. The sun is shining, classes are heading out on a range of wonderful trips—including visits to Cotswold Farm Park and Ninja Warrior—and our children are embracing every opportunity to learn, explore and have fun.
We are, as always, incredibly proud of our school community. Our students continue to demonstrate high standards, not only in their learning but also in their behaviour, their achievements both in and beyond school, and the positive attitudes they bring to everyday school life.
This term is especially significant for our Year 6 pupils, who are preparing for their final weeks with us. They will be working hard on their end‑of‑year performance, which promises to be a fantastic celebration of their time here. Across the school, sports days are also approaching, bringing plenty of energy, teamwork and memorable moments. We will look forward to seeing our parents and carers at these events and our open afternoons where they are able to come and share in the learning.
On the website, we aim to keep information and news as up to date as possible, so there is always something new to read and enjoy—whether it’s updates on school projects, photographs from recent events, examples of children’s work or our latest newsletters. You’ll also find key information such as policies, holiday dates and important notices.
School Aims
We want all of our children to achieve their full potential by offering them a high quality, challenging, diverse curriculum.
We aim to foster a community that feels safe, secure, supported and valued - a community that encourages tolerance and respect, that celebrates success in its many different forms.
We aim to provide a huge range of experiences, not just during the school day, but before school, after school and through the school holidays.
Finally, we aim to involve the whole school community in shaping our future, empowering individuals to make choices and become better citizens.
